# Errors

Here are the Report API errors with descriptions.
See the
[API guide](https://developer.vippsmobilepay.com/docs/APIs/report-api/api-guide/README.md)
for all the details.

For general information and questions, please see [Troubleshooting errors](https://developer.vippsmobilepay.com/docs/knowledge-base/errors.md).

## Error-codes

Error codes are five digits. They are returned in the `errorCode` field of an `application/json` error response,
alongside `errorMessage` and `contextId`.

**NOTE**

The [report data endpoints](https://developer.vippsmobilepay.com/docs/APIs/report-api/api-guide/fetching-report-data.md) do not return `errorCode`. They respond with
`application/problem+json`, which carries `type`, `title`, `detail` and `status` instead. Use the HTTP status code
and `detail` for those endpoints.

### Code: 10001

Unknown or undocumented error. This is a catch-all error that we in time want to reduce the frequency of as much as possible.
The reason for the error might be an ephemeral issue on our end, and you should be able to retry the same query again.

This code is also returned with `HTTP 403 Forbidden` when you do not have access to what you asked for.

### Code: 10002

Input validation error. One of your inputs did not get parsed properly or is missing.
The message in the response should give you a better description of which field is required.

### Code: 10003

Conflict, returned with `HTTP 409 Conflict`. The request could not be completed because it conflicts with the
current state of the resource.

### Code: 10004

The HTTP method is not allowed for this endpoint, returned with `HTTP 405 Method Not Allowed`. Check that you are
using `GET` and that the path is spelled correctly.
